Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brendon Booker made the kick off and thus started the match. Vince Armstrong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Devon Timiney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Sean Hinshelwood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glenn Pilkington was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ferryton's zone, Marek Lightfoot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Devon Timiney came out of the goal and Marek Lightfoot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kelvin Cutts got in the 16th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Devon Timiney handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Ferryton's Brendon Booker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glenn Pilkington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sean Hinshelwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glenn Pilkington having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Whiteley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Lightfoot to maneuver through the defense. The nice shot from Vince Armstrong in the 37thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Devon Timiney had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 38thth minute of the game Sean Hinshelwood who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whiteley's Glenn Pilkington was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glenn Pilkington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Booker in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Sean Hinshelwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 minutes, Andre Connery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferryton and the Whiteley players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Ferryton got a freekick which was hit by Andre Connery. A hard shot 46 in the game by Vince Armstrong from a close distance when the talented Devon Timiney managed to make a qualified save. Ferryton's players were relieved. In the 47th minute, Ed Medley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

If Kelvin Cutts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelvin Cutts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Devon Timiney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glenn Pilkington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Booker in the 71st minute of play. Sean Hinshelwood blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Glenn Pilkington having to make a save. In the 75th minute, Sean Hinshelwood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferryton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With his leg Glenn Pilkington managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Ferryton's Sean Hinshelwood fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Kelvin Cutts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Devon Timiney was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Sean Hinshelwood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glenn Pilkington was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 89th minute, Brendon Booker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Glenn Pilkington. The goal made the score 0-5. 95 minutes into the match, Ferryton's goal looked a bit too open when Kelvin Cutts came free, but Devon Timiney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ferryton walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
