Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kelvin Cutts made the kick off which started today's match. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whiteley's goalkeeper Glenn Pilkington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Broomhill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Legg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kelvin Cutts got free with Kris Morris in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Glenn Pilkington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leigh Dickner in the 19th minute of the match. Caleb Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Glenn Pilkington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Leigh Dickner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Broomhill and the Whiteley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leigh Dickner kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leigh Dickner in the 27th minute of play forced Whiteley's goalkeeper Glenn Pilkington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glenn Pilkington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caleb Mullan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, one of Whiteley:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 34 minutes into the match, Vince Armstrong dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kris Morris, 1-0. If Caleb Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leigh Dickner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leigh Dickner in the 45th minute of play forced Whiteley's goalkeeper Glenn Pilkington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leigh Dickner to strike the kick off in the second half. Johnathon Hindmarsh's late challenge caught a Whiteley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johnathon Hindmarsh helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Broomhill:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Whiteley:s goal. The referee gave Whiteley a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Calvin Gettins, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Broomhill's Kris Morris. 2-1. 62 minutes into the match, Broomhill's Caleb Mullan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glenn Pilkington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leigh Dickner struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Glenn Pilkington didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broomhill. In the 68thth minute of the game Leigh Dickner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whiteley's Glenn Pilkington was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Marek Lightfoot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whiteley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Broomhill the free kick. Kelvin Cutts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Connor Grainger kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Kristopher Shuttleworth was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Leigh Dickner kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Glenn Pilkington. That made the score 2-2 in the 80 minute of play. Vince Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Connor Grainger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whiteley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Connor Grainger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Whiteley had won after a very even match.
