In the 14th minute, Jacob Elding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Dale Rundell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joe Boyd was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Woolly FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jacob Elding hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Dion Bartlett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joe Boyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dion Bartlett, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 30 minutes of play, Bolton Wanderers's Reggie Younger made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joe Boyd was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rich Cuss kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Reggie Younger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Boyd having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dion Bartlett came free, but Joe Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Devon Nelson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Boyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reggie Younger in the 41st minute of play forced Woolly FC's goalkeeper Joe Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devon Nelson in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joe Boyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joe Boyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Rundell in the 45th minute of the match. Devon Nelson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sam Talbot to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Younger came free, but Joe Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Woolly FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Talbot to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bolton Wanderers booed when Woolly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Talbot didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Dale Rundell notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Woolly FC's Joe Boyd. Joe Boyd was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Devon Nelson took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Joe Boyd to make any attempt to save it. After 78 played minutes Woolly FC got a freekick which was hit by Terry Pearce. 83 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goalkeeper Joe Boyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dion Bartlett. After 87 played minutes Woolly FC got a freekick which was hit by Carl Bramble. Joe Boyd made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Dale Rundell sent off a good shot on target. Joe Boyd was a little too slow when Reggie Younger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-6. 96 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goalkeeper Joe Boyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Rundell. The Woolly FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bolton Wanderers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
