Phillip Allanson charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Italian Immigrants's Wally Kenworthy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save The Italian Immigrants from getting a goal against them. Perry Harper ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Byron Cotton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wally Kenworthy was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. In the 69th minute Byron Cotton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Kenworthy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Heybridge Basin United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Cotton to maneuver through the defense. Perry Harper took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simon Haigh. Heybridge Basin United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, The Italian Immigrants's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Allanson came free, but Wally Kenworthy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Rush hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Heybridge Basin United's Shawn Griffin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Italian Immigrants. In the 82nd match minute, Heybridge Basin United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Vaughan to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Heybridge Basin United's Simon Haigh got control of the ball when Perry Harper tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wally Kenworthy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Allanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Wally Kenworthy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Byron Cotton in the 93rd minute of the match.
