The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Winchester FC got a freekick which was hit by Camron Mann. With a little luck, Winchester FC's Ian Cowling got control of the ball when Jamie Wheeler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ian Cowling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Howarth in the 12th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Monkeys Village FC got a freekick which was hit by Max Barker. If Ted Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren Newlyn kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Monkeys Village FC booed when Winchester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olly Sedgemore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mick Hinshelwood took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ian Cowling. Winchester FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ian Cowling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jamie Wheeler in the 27th minute. Max Barker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teddy Hind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vince Arrowsmith fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winchester FC's protests and gave Vince Arrowsmith a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Winchester FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Vince Arrowsmith hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Monkeys Village FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Wilson came free, but Calum Hall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Cowling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jamie Wheeler in the 44th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 46 minutes into the game, when Ben Verity put in a rough tackle. 46 minutes into the game, one of Winchester FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matt Howarth to strike the kick off in the second half. Winchester FC's Ian Cowling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mick Hinshelwood in the 54th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Winchester FC got a freekick which was hit by Teddy Hind. Ian Cowling came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Monkeys Village FC's Jamie Wheeler. But to his dismay, Jamie Wheeler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Winchester FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Vince Arrowsmith hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Mick Hinshelwood cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ian Cowling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ian Cowling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darren Newlyn went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Howarth in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Cowling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Vince Arrowsmith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, Max Barker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monkeys Village FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winchester FC the free kick. Max Barker hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Monkeys Village FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Winchester FC for much of the match.
