After having played for 3 minutes, Perry Hedges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pewsey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Hedges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portchester's goalkeeper Grant Eslworth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Rotherfield in the 9th minute of play forced Pewsey FC's goalkeeper Leigh Draper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Portchester booed when Pewsey FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matty Walker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 minutes of play, Pewsey FC's Jerry Budge made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grant Eslworth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Perry Hedges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Eslworth having to interfere. Grant Eslworth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Harding in the 21st minute of the match. Grant Eslworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Harding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perry Hedges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Eslworth having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Rob Harding made a precise shot to the right of Grant Eslworth. Portchester's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 31st minute, Lloyd Bittner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Pewsey FC's Perry Hedges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Grant Eslworth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kieran King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Portchester's zone, Rob Harding stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grant Eslworth came out of the goal and Rob Harding tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, Portchester's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Hedges came free, but Grant Eslworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grant Eslworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Harding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Rob Harding made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Portchester's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Harding came free, but Grant Eslworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grant Eslworth made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Perry Hedges sent off a good shot on target. Perry Hedges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perry Hedges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Grant Eslworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pewsey FC fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Pewsey FC's Perry Hedges looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Perry Hedges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Pewsey FC's Grant Eslworth threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rob Harding, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
