All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Cambridge City's Danny Pitman got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Will Rooney charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sacha Hardwick in the 70th minute of play forced Cambridge City's goalkeeper Dean Paterson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sacha Hardwick in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean Paterson saved Cambridge City from getting behind. Nicky Beattie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Bin Bits support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
