An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Clay in the 28th minute of play forced Denton United FC's goalkeeper Wesley Lomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Denton United FC's Jermaine Hird got a free kick in the 31st minute. Karl Church hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Russ Jenkins in the 35th minute of play forced Denton United FC's goalkeeper Wesley Lomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Aspinall took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wesley Lomas. Denton United FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
