Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jo Bensley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Millbrook utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Jo Bensley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Den Kaye breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jo Bensley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Den Kaye having to interfere. Jo Bensley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Den Kaye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Millbrook utd's Alfred Endean got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Helsby's Den Kaye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Bensley in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Millbrook utd's John Paul Cain got a free kick in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jo Bensley made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Helsby got a freekick which was hit by Gez Davis. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Helsby's goalkeeper Den Kaye, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jo Bensley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Den Kaye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfred Endean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Den Kaye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Bensley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Helsby's Scott Wootton got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Endean in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Den Kaye prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute, Jo Bensley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Millbrook utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Den Kaye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jo Bensley in the 68th minute of play. Millbrook utd's Jo Bensley got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfred Endean's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Den Kaye read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. If Jo Bensley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Endean kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Alfred Endean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millbrook utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Endean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Den Kaye didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Millbrook utd's Jo Bensley shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Millbrook utd's Alfred Endean in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Millbrook utd fully deserved thier win.
