Toby Hoult's late challenge caught a FC Kennington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The FC Kennington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damion Easton should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Frazer Houghton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Spink struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Damion Easton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southwell. After a defensive mix-up in Southwell's zone, Andre MacDonald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clive Robson came out of the goal and Andre MacDonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastian Spink scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damion Easton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Spink in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damion Easton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastian Spink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frazer Houghton was the one to do the kick off. In the 90th minute, Simeon Mullen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damion Easton came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Southwell's Sebastian Spink. But to his dismay, Sebastian Spink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 98 minutes into the match, FC Kennington's goalkeeper Damion Easton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Spink. When the final whistle sounded Southwell left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Kennington.
