Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Harlesden's Bradley Ford started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eddie Shakespeare kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Christian Mansell sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Harleston United's Ray Brayson didn't even have to move. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Bradley Ford got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 16th match minute, Harleston United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Vickers to maneuver through the defense. When Eddie Shakespeare fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harleston United's protests and gave Eddie Shakespeare a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Harleston United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Ray Brayson went to the wrong direction when Christian Mansell was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Harlesden's Dean Hazledine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Winterburn in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Lance Lobb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harleston United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Cody Williams fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harlesden's protests and gave Cody Williams a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Harlesden's Cody Williams got a free kick in the 29th minute. Harleston United's Ray Brayson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Harleston United from getting a goal against them. Jack Ealham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Ray Brayson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Jack Ealham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Neil Liddle during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Harleston United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Liddle to maneuver through the defense. When Luke Dryden fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harleston United's protests and gave Luke Dryden a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 played minutes Harleston United got a freekick which was hit by Luke Dryden. Harlesden's Christian Mansell shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 49th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ray Brayson but with some difficulty.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Ealham in the 55th minute of play forced Harleston United's goalkeeper Ray Brayson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bradley Ford came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Harlesden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradley Ford couldn't finish the play. If Jack Ealham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ray Brayson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Ford in the 61st minute of the match. If Jack Ealham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Ford in the 69th minute of play forced Harleston United's goalkeeper Ray Brayson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harlesden's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Lance Lobb scored to the left of an out of position Dean Hazledine, making the score, 0-2. Harleston United's Ray Brayson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Ford in the 79th minute of play. Ray Brayson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Ealham, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Dean Hazledine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lance Lobb in the 82nd minute of the match. Bradley Ford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ray Brayson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bradley Ford in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Brayson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Crispin Hayward in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray Brayson saved Harleston United from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, Harlesden's goalkeeper Dean Hazledine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Winterburn. Bradley Ford struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ray Brayson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harlesden. After having played for 93 minutes, Jack Ealham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harlesden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Ealham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ray Brayson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Ealham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddie Shakespeare, 100 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
