In the 7th minute, Jack Ealham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Bradley Ford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Jack Ealham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harlesden's supporters rose to their feet, but Jack Ealham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Den Kaye breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Bradley Ford sped through Helsby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Den Kaye. With a little luck, Helsby's Den Kaye got control of the ball when Bradley Ford tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruce Paine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Dean Hazledine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Scott Wootton during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Scott Wootton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Helsby's goalkeeper Den Kaye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Ealham. After having played for 27 minutes, Bradley Ford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harlesden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradley Ford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Helsby's goalkeeper Den Kaye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Ealham. Jack Ealham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Den Kaye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Ford in the 43rd minute of the match. Bradley Ford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Den Kaye having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bradley Ford was the one to do the kick off. If Bradley Ford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Mansell was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bradley Ford in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Den Kaye saved Helsby from getting behind. If Bradley Ford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruce Paine hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Bradley Ford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jack Ealham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bradley Ford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Harlesden's Bradley Ford in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Helsby's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Harlesden players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
