Warrington Town F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Philip Bateman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Kenny Camfield made a huge save. Kenny Camfield didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Philip Bateman went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Zack Waller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Freddy Broad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Kettering was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Coe to maneuver through the defense. Kenny Camfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Dearden, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, Kettering was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Hurst to maneuver through the defense. Bradley Rogers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddy Broad. Warrington Town F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kenny Camfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Dearden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Dearden in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenny Camfield saved Kettering from getting behind. Zack Waller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Steven Featherstone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl Dearden was the one to do the kick off. When Karl Dearden came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Warrington Town F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Dearden couldn't finish the play. If Marlon Greaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Dearden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Camfield having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Warrington Town F.C.'s Steven Featherstone got a free kick in the 67th minute. Zack Waller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Broad having to interfere. Kenny Camfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Bateman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Robbie Lawson could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Freddy Broad however easily saved by the left post. Zack Waller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Broad having to interfere. Zack Waller struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Freddy Broad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kettering. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
