Redbourn United's Curtis Braithwaite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Cutts in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Legia Warsaw booed when Redbourn United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Foster didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Redbourn United getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Pat Elliot hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Redbourn United's zone, Johnathan Cutts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Junior Borrowdale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pete Wallbank in the 19th minute. The supporters of Legia Warsaw booed when Redbourn United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregory Bradbury didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Legia Warsaw's zone, Jordan Acton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Junior Borrowdale came out of the goal and Jordan Acton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Oliver Budge fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legia Warsaw's protests and gave Oliver Budge a yellow card for diving instead. Ed Brazier was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jordan Acton got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Junior Borrowdale handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Pete Wallbank was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Redbourn United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legia Warsaw the free kick. Junior Borrowdale was a little too slow when Jordan Acton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. Gregory Bradbury kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Martyn Baxter made a precise shot to the right of Curtis Braithwaite. Redbourn United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jordan Acton to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Legia Warsaw's zone, Pete Wallbank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Junior Borrowdale came out of the goal and Pete Wallbank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Redbourn United's Jordan Acton got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Junior Borrowdale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordan Acton in the 57th minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Legia Warsaw's goalkeeper Junior Borrowdale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Legia Warsaw's Martyn Baxter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curtis Braithwaite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregory Bradbury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Junior Borrowdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Wallbank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes, Jordan Acton made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Legia Warsaw's Junior Borrowdale tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Redbourn United's Pete Wallbank in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legia Warsaw's goalie prevented a goal. Junior Borrowdale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pete Wallbank's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. George Crossley kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jordan Acton in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Junior Borrowdale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Redbourn United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Legia Warsaw had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
