Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stewart Newbury got the match started through his kick off. Stewart Newbury recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Swansea City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lee Wilkins came free, but Drew Blackhurst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jo Palmer came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Radcliffe-on-Trent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Palmer couldn't finish the play. Drew Blackhurst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lee Wilkins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes, Colin Merchant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Swansea City FC and the Radcliffe-on-Trent players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Swansea City FC's Colin Merchant got a free kick in the 17th minute. Jeff Mellon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Drew Blackhurst. Swansea City FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stewart Newbury struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Guy Gerrard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swansea City FC. Stewart Newbury received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Guy Gerrard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stewart Newbury blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guy Gerrard having to make a save. Sly Lawton kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Barrie Sills shot from long distance in the 30th minute, but Guy Gerrard was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Radcliffe-on-Trent's Lee Wilkins got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Drew Blackhurst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lee Wilkins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes Swansea City FC got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Potterton. Jeff Mellon, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Swansea City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Palmer came free, but Drew Blackhurst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jo Palmer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Stansfield in the 53rd minute of play forced Radcliffe-on-Trent's goalkeeper Guy Gerrard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Swansea City FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lee Wilkins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Swansea City FC's Drew Blackhurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Palmer in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Swansea City FC's goalkeeper Drew Blackhurst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lee Wilkins. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Potterton in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guy Gerrard saved Radcliffe-on-Trent from getting behind. Drew Blackhurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jo Palmer in the 78th minute of the match. Lee Wilkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Blackhurst having to interfere. If Jo Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the match, Swansea City FC's goalkeeper Drew Blackhurst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lee Wilkins. In the 85th match minute, Swansea City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ty Mallaby to maneuver through the defense. Lee Wilkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Drew Blackhurst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jo Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Blackhurst having to interfere. A hard shot 96 in the game by Lee Wilkins from a close distance when the talented Drew Blackhurst managed to make a qualified save. Swansea City FC's players were relieved. Swansea City FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Radcliffe-on-Trent had controlled the match.
