Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd minute, Leroy Percival hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Brian Rutherford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daventry AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferndown Foxes FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Daventry AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ferndown Foxes FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Ferndown Foxes FC's Loyd Scrivener got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Christopher Stevens. In the 16th minute, Laurence Hill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ferndown Foxes FC booed when Daventry AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Callum Hartson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th play minute Noel Budden came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christopher Stevens. 2-0. Leroy Percival's late challenge caught a Daventry AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leroy Percival helped the player get up and apologised. Loyd Scrivener could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Christopher Stevens made a huge save. If Laurence Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lewis Simms recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christopher Stevens was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Harvey Vaughan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harvey Vaughan really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. With a little luck, Daventry AFC's Christopher Stevens got control of the ball when Laurence Hill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferndown Foxes FC's Dean Tabb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Simms in the 43rd minute of play. Christopher Stevens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loyd Scrivener in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lewis Simms to make the kick off. In the 58th minute Loyd Scrivener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Laurence Hill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Ferndown Foxes FC's goalkeeper Dean Tabb had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dean Higgins. Christopher Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurence Hill in the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Ferndown Foxes FC got a freekick which was hit by Laurence Hill. In the 79th minute Lewis Simms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Tabb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dean Tabb made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Dean Higgins sent off a good shot on target. Dean Higgins took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dean Tabb. Dean Tabb dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 88th match minute, Ferndown Foxes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaz Hutchins to maneuver through the defense. Gaz Hutchins stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Daventry AFC's defenders and the ball went out. Ferndown Foxes FC appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Ferndown Foxes FC's Loyd Scrivener got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute Loyd Scrivener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Loyd Scrivener got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute Noel Budden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferndown Foxes FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
