Spectators: 7537 (Terracing: 5654, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brian Bartlett kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Dave Bellamy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Silesia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zulu Army the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, FC Silesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Bellamy to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute, Martyn Young sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Silesia's Lance Hoskins didn't even have to move. Zulu Army's Hugh Corrigan got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Richie Pearch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zulu Army's supporters rose to their feet, but Richie Pearch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Hoskins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Silesia's zone, Hugh Corrigan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Hoskins came out of the goal and Hugh Corrigan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John King recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steve Bridgeman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John King's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, John King managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Silesia's supporters crossed their fingers, but John King was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steve Bridgeman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John King's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Zulu Army's Richie Pearch got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brian Bartlett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Steve Bridgeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brian Bartlett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by John King in the 48th minute of play forced Zulu Army's goalkeeper Steve Bridgeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richie Pearch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richie Pearch in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lance Hoskins saved FC Silesia from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Pearch in the 69th minute of play forced FC Silesia's goalkeeper Lance Hoskins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Zulu Army's goalkeeper Steve Bridgeman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John King. The supporters of FC Silesia booed when Zulu Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Holden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Garner made a great header on FC Silesia's corner, it was just that Zulu Army's Steve Bridgeman managed to reach the ball for a save. Zulu Army's Steve Bridgeman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Bartlett in the 83rd minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
