Philip Barratt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Ellison in the 3rd minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bourne fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Border Jets FC a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ross Chambers, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bourne's Benjamin Featherstone. 0-1. Philip Barratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graham Elliott in the 11th minute of play. Justin Falkingham was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Freddie Hatcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Featherstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremy Woodfords short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Philip Barratt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 22nd minute, Bourne's Graham Elliott dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Philip Barratt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Woodford, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Bourne's Jeremy Woodford nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Barratt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Olly Blain came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Philip Barratt could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Border Jets FC's Peter Street got a free kick in the 37th minute. Freddie Hatcher struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Benjamin Featherstone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Border Jets FC. Border Jets FC's Philip Barratt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graham Elliott in the 41st minute of play. Philip Barratt was a little too slow when Graham Elliott got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

57 minutes into the match, Border Jets FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Burns came free, but Philip Barratt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Border Jets FC's goalkeeper Philip Barratt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Bourne's Graham Elliott nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Barratt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graham Elliott in the 65th minute of play forced Border Jets FC's goalkeeper Philip Barratt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Ozzy Parkinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremy Woodford in the 75th minute of play forced Border Jets FC's goalkeeper Philip Barratt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Graham Elliott took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Barratt. Philip Barratt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. In the 80th match minute, Bourne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Ellison to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bourne booed when Border Jets FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Britton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremy Woodford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Barratt having to interfere. Philip Barratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graham Elliott in the 85th minute of play. Joshua Burns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bourne's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
