In the 20th minute, FC Silesia's Brian Bartlett dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Russ Crichton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lance Hoskins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brian Bartlett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Silesia's Lance Hoskins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Bailey in the 37th minute of play. When Felix Shackleton fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Silesia's protests and gave Felix Shackleton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Felix Shackleton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Silesia's zone, Russ Crichton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Hoskins came out of the goal and Russ Crichton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brian Bartlett to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Silesia's Lance Hoskins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Preston in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Russ Crichton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swinton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Russ Crichton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Hoskins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, FC Silesia's goal looked a bit too open when Russ Crichton came free, but Lance Hoskins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brett Machin during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tristram Bittner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John King in the 70th minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, Swinton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Shakespeare to maneuver through the defense.
