Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gerry Whitmore got the match started through his kick off. Craig Lemerond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Austen Speight tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in crystal palace's zone, Jools Symons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven Boxall came out of the goal and Jools Symons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Austen Speight showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Craig Lemerond in the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Leeds City FC's Rio Buckley got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gerry Whitmore might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steven Boxall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerry Whitmore ran back to his position shaking his head. After 25 played minutes crystal palace got a freekick which was hit by Byron Oddy. Steven Boxall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jools Symons, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Gerry Whitmore might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steven Boxall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerry Whitmore ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Andre Pearce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leeds City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andre Pearce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steven Boxall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Mudd during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adam Mudd kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Garry Walker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. crystal palace's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leeds City FC the free kick. 39 minutes into the match, Leeds City FC's Vinnie Haxby broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 47th minute, Sly Cryer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Jeffrey Trusswell managed to get in a good position for a shot. crystal palace's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeffrey Trusswell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Austen Speight breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Craig Lemerond stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jeffrey Trusswell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerry Whitmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, crystal palace's goalkeeper Steven Boxall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jools Symons. After a rather tough play, crystal palace's Tyrone Bowler got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Steven Boxall came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Leeds City FC's Jools Symons. But to his dismay, Jools Symons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jeffrey Trusswell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Rio Buckley's late challenge caught a crystal palace's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 80th minute of the match Mick Wendon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Austen Speight skillfully saved the ball. In the 87th minute, Jools Symons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Craig Lemerond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Austen Speight was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Jeffrey Trusswell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austen Speight having to interfere.
