Nial McKeown charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nial McKeown the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 24 minutes, Graeme Reeve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Graeme Reeve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Denis Sutherland came free, but Lance Beaumont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graeme Reeve struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Damien Dobbs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool FC.. Damien Dobbs didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 44th minute, Addlestone AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Graeme Reeve fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Graeme Reeve in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damien Dobbs prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denis Sutherland was the one to do the kick off. Louie Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Graeme Reeve scored 2-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damien Dobbs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Louie Byrne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Addlestone AFC's Damien Dobbs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graeme Reeve in the 67th minute of play. Damien Dobbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louie Byrne in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Addlestone AFC's Reggie Cusack sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lance Beaumont narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Martyn Keane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When James Edmunds fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Addlestone AFC's protests and gave James Edmunds a yellow card for diving instead. When Liverpool FC.'s Louie Byrne in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Addlestone AFC's goalie prevented a goal. During the 78th minute of the match James Edmunds completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave James Edmunds a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. James Edmunds kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Graeme Reeve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liverpool FC.'s Lance Beaumont proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool FC. from getting a goal against them. Damien Dobbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Reeve in the 88th minute of play. When Eddy Armstrong fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Addlestone AFC's protests and gave Eddy Armstrong a yellow card for diving instead.
