Mike Boatman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derek Pilgrim, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Mike Boatman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franz Grayson in the 25th minute of the match. Franz Grayson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Mike Boatman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Michael Crooks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chupayees City & Crantlee's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Crooks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mike Boatman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mike Boatman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franz Grayson in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Chupayees City & Crantlee booed when Hadlow Harriers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken Hardcastle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pete Mabbutt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Boatman having to interfere. In the 40th minute Franz Grayson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Boatman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hadlow Harriers's goalkeeper Mike Boatman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Pete Mabbutt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Boatman. Hadlow Harriers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pete Mabbutt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After the first half Chupayees City & Crantlee were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pete Mabbutt to make the kick off. Mike Boatman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pete Mabbutt in the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pete Mabbutt in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mike Boatman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Hadlow Harriers's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Mabbutt came free, but Mike Boatman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Hadlow Harriers's Mike Boatman got control of the ball when Franz Grayson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ken Hardcastle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jeff Rowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Franz Grayson could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Mike Boatman however easily saved by the left post. Franz Grayson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Boatman having to interfere. Ken Hardcastle kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Franz Grayson fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Mike Boatman. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Chupayees City & Crantlee's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Luke Capes's late challenge caught a Hadlow Harriers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luke Capes helped the player get up and apologised. Luke Capes hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes Hadlow Harriers got a freekick which was hit by Ken Hardcastle. Gary Capes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Franz Grayson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pete Mabbutt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mike Boatman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hadlow Harriers's Mike Boatman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Hadlow Harriers from getting a goal against them. Chupayees City & Crantlee's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
