Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Denis Sutherland kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Addlestone AFC's Denis Sutherland ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sammy Brindley. Sammy Brindley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 7th match minute, Addlestone AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathan Blower to maneuver through the defense. Wally Monk might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damien Dobbs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wally Monk ran back to his position shaking his head. Riverside City FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Denis Sutherland scored to the left of an out of position Sammy Brindley, making the score, 2-0. Addlestone AFC's Damien Dobbs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally Monk in the 26th minute of play. After 29 minutes Addlestone AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Connor Linford who took care of the corner kick. Riverside City FC's Connor Linford was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Damien Dobbs in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Wally Monk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damien Dobbs was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 32ndth minute of the game Jermaine Titmus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Addlestone AFC's Damien Dobbs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Addlestone AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Wally Monk came free, but Damien Dobbs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Martyn Keane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Connor Linford came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Riverside City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Connor Linford couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Addlestone AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jermaine Titmus came free, but Damien Dobbs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Sutherland struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Sammy Brindley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Addlestone AFC.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wally Monk to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Addlestone AFC's Reggie Cusack sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sammy Brindley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Addlestone AFC's Damien Dobbs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Addlestone AFC from getting a goal against them. Damien Dobbs came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Riverside City FC's Paul Woolford. But to his dismay, Paul Woolford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 61 minutes into the game, Wally Monk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Damien Dobbs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 77 minutes, Wally Monk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riverside City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wally Monk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sidney Blair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jermaine Titmus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Damien Dobbs made a huge save. Damien Dobbs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Woolford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Addlestone AFC's Damien Dobbs got control of the ball when Jermaine Titmus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Riverside City FC's Jermaine Titmus got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Addlestone AFC's Denis Sutherland got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute of the match Ollie White sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sammy Brindley skillfully saved the ball. Riverside City FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
