Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ray Johnson took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Romford's Brad Dunn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damien Sargent narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Dominik Husband came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Romford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Husband couldn't finish the play. Dominik Husband fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damien Sargent having to interfere. Romford's Dominik Husband got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 26 minutes, Brad Dunn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brad Dunn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dominik Husband received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Damien Sargent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Dominik Husband managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominik Husband was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Brad Dunn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damien Sargent. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Dominik Husband who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hillhead City's Damien Sargent was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damien Sargent made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Brad Dunn sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute, Dominik Husband got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brad Dunn got free with Damien Sargent in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damien Sargent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Husband in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Brad Dunn came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Romford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Dunn couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Dominik Husband's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damien Sargent was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Damien Sargent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Towler, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Brad Dunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damien Sargent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damien Sargent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Husband in the 65th minute of the match. If Dominik Husband had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glenn Cummins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 played minutes Hillhead City got a freekick which was hit by Alf Bullard. Damien Sargent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Husband in the 75th minute of the match. If Dominik Husband had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Brad Dunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damien Sargent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damien Sargent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Dunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Damien Sargent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Husband, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 minutes of play, Romford's Dominik Husband made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damien Sargent was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brad Dunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Romford fully deserved thier win.
