Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Keith Rusby made the kick off which started today's match. Dave Pool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jonny Jones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Aaron Ferdinand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penzance FC and the Tipton United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Penzance FC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Ferdinand. After having played for 9 minutes, Dominic Blythe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tipton United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Blythe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonny Jones made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Dominic Blythe sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, Aaron Ferdinand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Jonny Jones successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dominic Blythe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonny Jones firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dave Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Tipton United's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Barfield came free, but Len Humphreys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dave Pool had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Keith Rusby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penzance FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tipton United's Len Humphreys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Rusby in the 31st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Dave Pool took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jonny Jones to make any attempt to save it. Keith Rusby kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Jonny Jones was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tyrone Burton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith Rusby in the 46th minute of play forced Tipton United's goalkeeper Len Humphreys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dave Pool stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Dominic Blythe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Len Humphreys made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Keith Rusby sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th match minute, Tipton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Austin Naylor to maneuver through the defense. Penzance FC's Keith Rusby got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st match minute, Penzance FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keith Rusby to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Dave Pool shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonny Jones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Len Humphreys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith Rusby in the 90th minute of play. Tipton United's Dave Pool got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
