Jay Shaw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Whalley's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 11th match minute, Paxton Hotspur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivor Rose to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Syd Haugue managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. congelton saints's supporters crossed their fingers, but Syd Haugue was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paxton Hotspur's Rupert Downton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denzil Fenwick in the 19th minute of play. When congelton saints's Syd Haugue in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paxton Hotspur's goalie prevented a goal. Syd Haugue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rupert Downton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Syd Haugue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rupert Downton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Syd Haugue in the 32nd minute of the match. Denzil Fenwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Rupert Downton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Syd Haugue got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to congelton saints getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Glenn Alsop hit a great ball.

After 52 minutes, CJ Hume mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the congelton saints and the Paxton Hotspur players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes congelton saints got a freekick which was hit by CJ Hume. Daniel Whalley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Shaw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Denzil Fenwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Downton having to interfere. Daniel Whalley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Syd Haugue during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Syd Haugue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the congelton saints defense, Johnathon Sheldon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jay Shaw. The congelton saints fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jay Shaw should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Whalley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Paxton Hotspur's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Denzil Fenwick fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Paxton Hotspur getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Daniel Whalley hit a great ball. When Richard Featherson fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paxton Hotspur's protests and gave Richard Featherson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of congelton saints booed when Paxton Hotspur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Featherson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denzil Fenwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rupert Downton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Denzil Fenwick put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rupert Downton. Despite being the better team, congelton saints failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
