Ashley Singleton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stan Marriott's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Ashley Singleton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Marriott in the 8th minute of the match. Ashley Singleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan Marriott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dylan Fitzsymon fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Man City's protests and gave Dylan Fitzsymon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Dylan Fitzsymon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goal looked a bit too open when Gaz Bowen came free, but Ashley Singleton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Bartlett's late challenge caught a Man City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Bartlett helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Kilburn, Westbourne Park got a freekick which was hit by Alex Bartlett. In the 22ndth minute of the game Stan Marriott who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Ashley Singleton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Gaz Bowen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ashley Singleton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gaz Bowen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Singleton having to interfere. Danny Winterburn hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The supporters of Man City booed when Kilburn, Westbourne Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dale Horner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Stewart Read managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Man City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stewart Read was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Larry Forrester kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ashley Singleton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tristram Fieldwick's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Ashley Singleton made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Larry Forrester sent off a good shot on target. 0-4 became the score in the 60th minute when Gaz Bowen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Kilburn, Westbourne Park defense, Gaz Bowen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ashley Singleton. The Kilburn, Westbourne Park fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ashley Singleton should have stopped the shot. Ashley Singleton came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Man City's Gaz Bowen. But to his dismay, Gaz Bowen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Richard Barber made in the 70th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kenny Speight immediately put the ball in play. In the 70th minute, one of Kilburn, Westbourne Park:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kilburn, Westbourne Park. In the 74th minute Rufus Creighton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ashley Singleton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Marriott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ashley Singleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goalkeeper Ashley Singleton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaz Bowen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Read in the 80th minute of play forced Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goalkeeper Ashley Singleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Stan Marriott rounded Kilburn, Westbourne Park's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. Ed Crouch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 89 minutes of play, Man City's Larry Forrester made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ashley Singleton was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Ashley Singleton got control of the ball when Larry Forrester tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaz Bowen got free with Ashley Singleton in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Stan Marriott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Ashley Singleton got control of the ball when Gaz Bowen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Man City played a much better game than Kilburn, Westbourne Park and deserved their victory. The Kilburn, Westbourne Park players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
