The audience was convinced that Daniel Whalley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Hampton was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The supporters of Paxton Hotspur booed when Walworth Runners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Marenghi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Paxton Hotspur were awarded a corner. Perry Earnshaw went to the cornerflag to take it. After 93 played minutes Paxton Hotspur got a freekick which was hit by Alan Bryant.
