He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wells reached it. When Lennie Brent fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea AFC's protests and gave Lennie Brent a yellow card for diving instead. Lennie Brent kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Mitch Case shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rio Owen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephen Barton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennie Brent, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Mitch Case fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rio Owen having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Phil Turner got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rio Owen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Chelsea AFC's Kevin Shackleton got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Wells's Phil Turner broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Rio Owen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Case in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Mitch Case got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Lucas Stockton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rio Owen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Chelsea AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wells were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Ash Lomas made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Rio Owen managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Wells's Mitch Case fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rio Owen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Stockton, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 70th minute, Wells's Lucas Stockton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rio Owen. Rio Owen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 74 minutes into the match, Wells's goal looked a bit too open when Nigel Schofield came free, but Stephen Barton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Mitch Case cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rio Owen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chelsea AFC's Rio Owen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Stockton in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Lucas Stockton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wells's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Stockton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rio Owen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mitch Case in the 88th minute. Nigel Schofield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Stephen Barton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mitch Case received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
