In the 3rd match minute, Timperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francis Shakespeare to maneuver through the defense. In the 7thth minute of the game Lewis Kendall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Timperley's Benjamin Horsell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lewis Kendall spun around in front of the goal 11 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Timperley's goal. 13 minutes into the game, Bryan McBreen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wirral FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timperley the free kick. After a rather tough play, Wirral FC's Bryan McBreen got a free kick in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wirral FC's zone, Deon Coulthard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Woodward came out of the goal and Deon Coulthard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alec Bodsworth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zaq Morning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zaq Morning struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Nicholas Woodward didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timperley. 22 minutes into the match, Timperley's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis Kendall came free, but Benjamin Horsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lewis Kendall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benjamin Horsell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lewis Kendall's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Lewis Kendall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Horsell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Benjamin Horsell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashley Sparks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lewis Kendall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timperley's Benjamin Horsell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Sparks in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Wirral FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ashley Sparks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Timperley's Benjamin Horsell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Timperley from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Timperley booed when Wirral FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricky Walsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timperley's Benjamin Horsell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Sparks in the 63rd minute of play. Lewis Kendall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Horsell having to interfere. Ashley Sparks succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3.
