If Henry Gibson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristan Dodd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Crossley having to interfere. Will Kempson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Gibson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Neil Holden kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Syd Worth made a kick off. In the 55th minute Tristan Dodd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Crossley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Syd Worth scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simon Crossley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tristan Dodd in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Crossley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the game, Ronan Farrell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Andover City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave hull afc the free kick. Ronan Farrell hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match.
