Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jay Summers made the kick off which started today's match. Simon Whitehead took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Schofield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute of the match Chelsea AFC got a corner. Skegness's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thom Boyd ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rio Ratcliffe hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Chelsea AFC's Rio Owen got control of the ball when Tris Little tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Chelsea AFC's goalkeeper Rio Owen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tris Little. The supporters of Chelsea AFC booed when Skegness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tris Little didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Whitehead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Schofield, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Garry Eadan fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skegness's protests and gave Garry Eadan a yellow card for diving instead. Jay Summers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Ash Lomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Tris Little shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rio Owen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jay Summers in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rio Owen saved Chelsea AFC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nigel Schofield got free with Simon Whitehead in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Whitehead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ash Lomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Nigel Schofield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Simon Whitehead made a huge save. Jay Summers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rio Owen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ash Lomas had several of the Skegness's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Simon Whitehead as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ash Lomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Simon Whitehead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nigel Schofield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Simon Whitehead made a huge save. Simon Whitehead was a little too slow when Ash Lomas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-2. The Chelsea AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
