Frankie Stockley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 played minutes Bourne got a freekick which was hit by Niall Power. Tris Little recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Conal Richardson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie Stockley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jay Summers in the 35th minute of the match. Tris Littles short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Frankie Stockley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Skegness's Garry Eadan got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tris Little was the one to do the kick off. Jay Summers hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Bourne's Hugh Howden in the 85th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Simon Whitehead was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Skegness through an amazing save. Garry Eadan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Skegness failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
