Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfie Unsworth made the kick off which started today's match. Jerome Perryman's late challenge caught a HEXICIOUS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerome Perryman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute Alfie Unsworth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Munroe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in HEXICIOUS's zone, Alfie Unsworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chip Munroe came out of the goal and Alfie Unsworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavin Dennison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Knottingley booed when HEXICIOUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Hartley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chip Munroe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfie Unsworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HEXICIOUS's Chip Munroe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save HEXICIOUS from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Gavin Dennison kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chip Munroe. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Chip Munroe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kris Sheppard in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the HEXICIOUS defense, Gavin Dennison kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chip Munroe. The HEXICIOUS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chip Munroe should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, HEXICIOUS's Chip Munroe got control of the ball when Gavin Dennison tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Chaz Beswetherick had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 30 minutes into the game, Daryl Lambert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HEXICIOUS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knottingley the free kick. Daryl Lambert hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Chip Munroe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gavin Dennison went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Chip Munroe came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Knottingley's Gavin Dennison. But to his dismay, Gavin Dennison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. HEXICIOUS's Chip Munroe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save HEXICIOUS from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glen Hartley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Dennison in the 52nd minute of play forced HEXICIOUS's goalkeeper Chip Munroe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Slade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Gavin Dennison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chip Munroe was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Gavin Dennison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chip Munroe having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in HEXICIOUS's zone, Lenny Deighton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chip Munroe came out of the goal and Lenny Deighton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chip Munroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Slade, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Dennison in the 69th minute of play forced HEXICIOUS's goalkeeper Chip Munroe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, HEXICIOUS's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Sheppard came free, but Chip Munroe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavin Dennison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Frank Slade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, HEXICIOUS's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Dennison came free, but Chip Munroe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th match minute, HEXICIOUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glen Hartley to maneuver through the defense. If Gavin Dennison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Knottingley's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
