The supporters of FC Huntingdon booed when Eston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vern Haugue didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barrie Hicks struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Nicholas Bettinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eston. In the 21st minute, Brendon Brewer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jordan Panther in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Bettinson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicholas Bettinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordan Panther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddie Lister hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jordan Panther was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Huntingdon's zone, Rueben Inman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Bettinson came out of the goal and Rueben Inman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the last second Nicholas Bettinson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jordan Panther in the 55thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 56th minute, Barrie Hicks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th play minute Barrie Hicks came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nicholas Bettinson. 1-1. If Barrie Hicks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicholas Bettinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordan Panther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendon Brewer in the 69th minute of play forced Eston's goalkeeper Craig Cooke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Mitch Harrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Craig Cooke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendon Brewer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Craig Cooke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Brewer in the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Eston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rueben Inman to maneuver through the defense. Nicholas Bettinson came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Eston's Barrie Hicks. But to his dismay, Barrie Hicks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jordan Panther fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Bettinson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Barrie Hicks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eston's supporters rose to their feet, but Barrie Hicks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Bettinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eston's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
