The audience was convinced that Graham Buxton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodd Woodier was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Zackary Norman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shelfield FC's Rodd Woodier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zackary Norman in the 38th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
