Spectators: 7396 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 10) Ferencvaros's Albert Haugue started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Jim Holroyd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Winsford and the Ferencvaros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6thth minute of the game Leigh Horseman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ferencvaros's Tyrone Basham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anthony Prince recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Winsford's Jim Holroyd suffered a concussion in the 11th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 12th match minute, Ferencvaros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Haugue to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Nicky Oliver sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tyrone Basham skillfully saved the ball. Antony Clayton's late challenge caught a Winsford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antony Clayton helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Ferencvaros:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Winsford:s goal. Tyrone Basham went to the wrong direction when Nicky Oliver was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Leigh Horseman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Winsford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leigh Horseman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albert Haugue struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Terry Winship didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferencvaros. After 25 played minutes Winsford got a freekick which was hit by Leigh Horseman. In the 29th minute of the match Antony Clayton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Terry Winship showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Winsford's Anthony Prince sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tyrone Basham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tyrone Basham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Prince in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Sacha Moxon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferencvaros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winsford the free kick. A collision led to Ferencvaros getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Sacha Moxon hit a great ball. Anthony Prince fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrone Basham having to interfere. Tyrone Basham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Prince, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anthony Prince to strike the kick off in the second half. Caleb Bloom hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ferencvaros's Tyrone Basham got control of the ball when Anthony Prince tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Ferencvaros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tris Macken to maneuver through the defense. Ferencvaros's Tyrone Basham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Ferencvaros from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ferencvaros's zone, Isaac McRobbie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tyrone Basham came out of the goal and Isaac McRobbie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Winsford booed when Ferencvaros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sacha Moxon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th match minute, Ferencvaros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caleb Bloom to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Anthony Prince managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winsford's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Prince was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Basham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anthony Prince had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Anthony Prince managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winsford's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Prince was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Basham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric Jones struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Tyrone Basham made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Anthony Prince sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Tris Macken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tris Macken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Winship having to interfere. Winsford's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
