In the 10th minute, Austin Sedgemore made a precise shot to the right of Harvey Wybrow. Iffley Foxes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Iffley Foxes's Harvey Wybrow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Sedgemore in the 15th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Austin Sedgemore was the one to do the kick off. Ray Merchant's late challenge caught a Iffley Foxes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ray Merchant helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pondersbridge AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ray Merchant hit a great ball. Austin Sedgemore received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Harvey Wybrow came out and tried to block the shot, but Austin Sedgemore slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 55th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Pondersbridge AFC's Austin Sedgemore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harvey Wybrow narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Pondersbridge AFC's Austin Sedgemore ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Harvey Wybrow. Harvey Wybrow yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 70th minute, Eddy Langford made a precise shot to the right of Jo Poole. Pondersbridge AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Harvey Wybrow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Austin Sedgemore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Austin Sedgemore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pondersbridge AFC's Jo Poole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Featherson in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Eddy Langford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iffley Foxes's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Langford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jo Poole breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
