To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ethan Floyd during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for foxton town! When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Mansfield Town's Sam West got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. Glen Cornish who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Alfred Croft when he managed to save the team from getting behind. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
