Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chris Foreman got the match started through his kick off. Gwyn Wagstaff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jeff Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of East Horsley United booed when Eriks Engineering FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Pointon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Darius Slater came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the East Horsley United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darius Slater couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in East Horsley United's zone, Gwyn Wagstaff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Branson came out of the goal and Gwyn Wagstaff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Gwyn Wagstaff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eriks Engineering FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwyn Wagstaff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeff Branson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darius Slater might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Wilson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darius Slater ran back to his position shaking his head. Eriks Engineering FC's Paul Wilson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Eriks Engineering FC from getting a goal against them. Paul Wilson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darius Slater in the 34th minute. East Horsley United's Jeff Branson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Shakespeare in the 37th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Eriks Engineering FC got a freekick which was hit by Theo Pointon. Darius Slater's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Paul Wilson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 42nd minute, Chris Foreman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Wilson. The goal made the score 1-0. Liam Marsden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trey Shakespeare was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Eriks Engineering FC's goalkeeper Paul Wilson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeff Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trey Shakespeare, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gwyn Wagstaff scored 1-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeff Branson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eriks Engineering FC's Paul Wilson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Foreman in the 62nd minute of play. After 65 played minutes East Horsley United got a freekick which was hit by Orson Hellen. East Horsley United's Darius Slater got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, East Horsley United's Jeff Branson got control of the ball when Gwyn Wagstaff tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darius Slater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Paul Wilson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Eriks Engineering FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodd Downes. Darius Slater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Wilson having to interfere. Felix Furlong hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Jeff Branson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gwyn Wagstaff in the 82nd minute. Gwyn Wagstaff's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Jeff Branson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Chris Foreman struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Paul Wilson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Horsley United. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
