Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chris Foreman made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camron Hilton in the 3rd minute of play forced East Horsley United's goalkeeper Jeff Branson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of East Horsley United booed when Downham Market United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Marler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darius Slater's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark Theakston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. A hard shot 9 in the game by Darius Slater from a close distance when the talented Mark Theakston managed to make a qualified save. Downham Market United's players were relieved. Camron Hilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jeff Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camron Hilton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Downham Market United's Mark Theakston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Downham Market United from getting a goal against them. Mark Theakston was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Chris Foreman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. Chris Foreman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark Theakston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of East Horsley United booed when Downham Market United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Birch didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Brian Hurst made the kick off in the second half. Brian Hurst kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Chris Foreman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Darius Slater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Foreman in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Theakston saved Downham Market United from getting behind. In the 61stth minute of the game Chris Foreman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Downham Market United's Mark Theakston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When East Horsley United's Darius Slater in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Downham Market United's goalie prevented a goal. Tony Gilchrist kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Orson Hellen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mark Theakston showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 74 minutes into the match, East Horsley United's Chris Foreman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Theakston narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Downham Market United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of East Horsley United:s goal. In the 76th minute there was a penalty for East Horsley United. Orson Hellen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mark Theakston. 2-1. 80 minutes into the game, Sebastien Nethercoat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. East Horsley United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Downham Market United the free kick. Sebastien Nethercoat kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When Brian Hurst came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Downham Market United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Hurst couldn't finish the play. If Chris Foreman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 played minutes Downham Market United got a freekick which was hit by Leo Pollock. If Chris Foreman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the match, Downham Market United's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Foreman came free, but Mark Theakston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Downham Market United getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Alf Birch hit a great ball. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by Downham Market United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Orson Hellen was slow to take the kick. During this time East Horsley United's players had a chance to rest. East Horsley United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
