Jeff Ackroyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Joshua Green tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeff Ackroyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Green having to interfere. Jeff Ackroyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reuben Searle charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reuben Searle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of St Ives AFC booed when Curttannia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reuben Searle didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Sean Oddy in the 10th minute really tested Joshua Green's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. John Fowler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Perry Heath ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Derek Holbrook was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If John Fowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Ackroyd hit a great ball. Joshua Green took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Shackleton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeff Ackroyd got free with Joshua Green in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Seth Smith kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Fowler in the 46th minute of play forced Curttannia FC's goalkeeper Joshua Green to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, John Fowler managed to get in a good position for a shot. St Ives AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but John Fowler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joshua Green breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Abraham Silvester made the kick off in the second half. Seth Smith hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Jeff Ackroyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joshua Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Fowler in the 61st minute of play. Joshua Green showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Fowler in the 64th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, John Fowler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jeff Ackroyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, John Fowler made a precise shot to the right of Joshua Green. Curttannia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Derek Holbrook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Silvester in the 83rd minute of play. Curttannia FC's Joshua Green played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Fowler in the 87th minute of play. John Fowler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joshua Green read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. If John Fowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. St Ives AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
