Darius Slater could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Adam Byfield made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Darius Slater notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of London Greens's Adam Byfield. In the 54th minute, Chris Foreman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Byfield was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in London Greens's zone, Chris Foreman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Byfield came out of the goal and Chris Foreman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darius Slater might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Byfield. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darius Slater ran back to his position shaking his head. Darius Slater got in the 65th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Adam Byfield handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, London Greens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billie Wellings to maneuver through the defense. Adam Byfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orson Hellen, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Darius Slater's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Byfield was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Brian Murray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Byfield having to interfere. If Brian Murray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
