Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Adam Byfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Ackroyd in the 5th minute of play. London Greens's Adam Byfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Fowler in the 7th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeff Ackroyd in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Byfield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Dawes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeff Ackroyd in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Byfield saved London Greens from getting behind. 22 minutes into the game, one of St Ives AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in London Greens's zone, John Fowler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Byfield came out of the goal and John Fowler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jeff Ackroyd managed to get in a good position for a shot. St Ives AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeff Ackroyd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Byfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adam Byfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Fowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, London Greens's Derek Crabtree got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute John Fowler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Byfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Jeff Ackroyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Adam Byfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes London Greens got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Hopgood. John Fowler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Byfield having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Jeff Ackroyd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. London Greens's goalkeeper couldn't reach when John Fowler 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Alexander Dawes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, John Fowler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adam Byfield. The goal made the score 1-5. Jeff Ackroyd kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 94thth minute. Though ot was a great shot London Greens's keeper Adam Byfield was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Christian Milton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Holbrook having to interfere.
