In the 48th minute, Gav Firth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 51 minutes Calverley's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Will Blair who took care of the corner kick. Eastbourne Rovers's Will Blair was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daryl Kitchen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Don Tisdale was the one to do the kick off.
