Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ty Vassell took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mattias Hayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory Paine, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Daryl Kitchen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Banks in the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tring's zone, Ty Vassell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Hayes came out of the goal and Ty Vassell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Lee Hassell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mattias Hayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Vassell in the 25th minute of play. Victor Horn hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Tring's goal looked a bit too open when Ty Vassell came free, but Mattias Hayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tring booed when Calverley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Bamford didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Tring's Neil Banks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daryl Kitchen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Don Brimble might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daryl Kitchen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Brimble ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute Rory Paine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Hayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Neil Banks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes in the game, Neil Banks fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Daryl Kitchen having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Ivor Warburton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Neil Banks was the one to do the kick off. If Neil Banks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Tring getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Trev Tomlin hit a great ball. Conal Power's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mattias Hayes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Calverley's Ivor Warburton got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th match minute, Calverley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rory Paine to maneuver through the defense. The Tring fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Tring's Neil Banks looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Don Brimble received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Daryl Kitchen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Hayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Vassell in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Gav Firth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calverley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tring the free kick. Gav Firth kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Daryl Kitchen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neil Banks's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Ty Vassell kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Neil Banks came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Tring fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Banks couldn't finish the play. Mattias Hayes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rory Paine in the 96th minute.
