Sean Corrigan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Keith Pointon fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salford City's protests and gave Keith Pointon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chiswick booed when Salford City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keith Pointon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sean Corrigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowan Kinsey in the 30th minute of play. Sean Corrigan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Worrall in the 40th minute of the match. Jake Reddington scored 0-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sean Corrigan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Shaw during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Andre Shaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salford City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sol Rowling in the 51st minute. The Salford City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chiswick were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristopher Worrall was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Chiswick's Olly Metcalfe got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Chiswick's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon Atherton came free, but Ash Basham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salford City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chiswick the free kick.
