Spectators: 7405 (Terracing: 5649, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 25) New Marske's Piers Deaconsfield started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Harvey Nethercoat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Vaughan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Laniakea Super Cluster booed when New Marske was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennie Everard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calvin Grantham charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calvin Grantham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Calvin Grantham kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Rio Downton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Frank Evans managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when New Marske's Larry Dibb fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Larry Dibb managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Marske's supporters rose to their feet, but Larry Dibb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Evans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlton Hitchcock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Evans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Deaconsfield in the 26th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Laniakea Super Cluster's zone, Piers Deaconsfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Evans came out of the goal and Piers Deaconsfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Evans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Larry Dibb in the 33rd minute. Piers Deaconsfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Evans having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Larry Dibb got free with Frank Evans in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harvey Nethercoat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Larry Dibb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Evans having to interfere. Larry Dibb kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harvey Nethercoat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. New Marske's Jermaine Vaughan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harvey Nethercoat in the 53rd minute of play. When New Marske's Piers Deaconsfield in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laniakea Super Cluster's goalie prevented a goal. Laniakea Super Cluster's Frank Evans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Dibb in the 59th minute of play. Larry Dibb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Frank Evans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Evans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piers Deaconsfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Larry Dibb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 66th minute of the match Calvin Grantham completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Calvin Grantham a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 71 minutes into the match, Piers Deaconsfield notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Laniakea Super Cluster's Frank Evans. Frank Evans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Carlton Hitchcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jermaine Vaughan was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Rio Downton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rio Downton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Albert Rayner took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Evans. Frank Evans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Harvey Nethercoat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Vaughan having to interfere. If Piers Deaconsfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. New Marske's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
