Sidney Timmins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Dickens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Garforth in the 12th minute of the match. Inter Academy's Silvester Furlong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Jump in the 15th minute of play. Jeff Dibb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Dickens having to interfere. A hard shot by Daniel Bennett from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Silvester Furlong's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 23 minutes into the game, Jeff Dibb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Christie Fc the free kick. Jeff Dibb hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Silvester Furlong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Jump, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Sidney Timmins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Christie Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Timmins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Matt Denham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Inter Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Jump came free, but Silvester Furlong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christie Fc's Sidney Timmins got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inter Academy's Silvester Furlong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Inter Academy from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Garforth to strike the kick off in the second half. Ted Jump recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Inter Academy getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tony Colman hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Academy's zone, Ted Jump stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvester Furlong came out of the goal and Ted Jump tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Inter Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Jump came free, but Silvester Furlong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mike Garforth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kristopher Webster came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Inter Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristopher Webster couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Christie Fc's goalkeeper Benjamin Dickens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mike Garforth. In the 74th match minute, Christie Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Walmsley to maneuver through the defense. Christie Fc's Benjamin Dickens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Dibb in the 78th minute of play. Benjamin Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Dibb in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Sidney Timmins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Furlong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Garforth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Benjamin Dickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christie Fc's Benjamin Dickens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Christie Fc from getting a goal against them. Benjamin Dickens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mike Garforth in the 92nd minute. Mike Garforth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Dickens having to interfere. With a little luck, Christie Fc's Benjamin Dickens got control of the ball when Mike Garforth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christie Fc's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
