Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ruben Rowett came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Christie Fc's Sidney Timmins. But to his dismay, Sidney Timmins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Ted Jump cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ruben Rowett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 19 minutes, Nathan Crouch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chester-le-Street City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathan Crouch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidney Timmins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Rowett having to interfere. If Ted Jump had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Nathan Crouch took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Benjamin Dickens to make any attempt to save it. Ted Jump fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Rowett having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Chester-le-Street City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominic Clough to maneuver through the defense. Ted Jump sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Rowett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Timmins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben Rowett came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Christie Fc's Ted Jump. But to his dismay, Ted Jump quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 38thth minute of the game Ted Jump who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chester-le-Street City's Ruben Rowett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sidney Timmins took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Rowett. Ruben Rowett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ted Jump was the one to do the kick off. When Sidney Timmins came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Christie Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Timmins couldn't finish the play. Billy Grayson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Benjamin Dickens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Blakeley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Christie Fc getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Billy Grayson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chester-le-Street City's zone, Ted Jump stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Rowett came out of the goal and Ted Jump tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ted Jump received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ruben Rowett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Billy Grayson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Christie Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Grayson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Rowett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Christie Fc's Sidney Timmins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruben Rowett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chester-le-Street City's Dion Barber got a free kick in the 80th minute. When Sidney Timmins came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Christie Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Timmins couldn't finish the play. Ted Jump blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruben Rowett having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Chester-le-Street City's Dominic Clough got a free kick in the 90th minute. Nath Summers was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ted Jump might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruben Rowett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ted Jump ran back to his position shaking his head.
